Why Meditate?

We meditate so as to be able to fulfill our role as conscious workers in God’s Plan.
There’s a Plan?
Indeed, there is, and each one of us has a specific role and purpose in that Plan.
What is the Plan? What do we make plans for? We make plans to either build something or to do something. We need only follow the creation of planet earth, its atmosphere, the creation of the various minerals, and the appearance and order of the kingdoms of life conducting forms created thus far, to see that something is being built. We can also find road signs that point out to us the direction this Plan wants to go Humanity is the first kingdom in this process that is meant to see, understand, and to begin to work consciously on the goal. We use our time in meditation to silence our earthly self so that we can hear God’s Will. HIS Will cannot be done, His Kingdom cannot be created on earth if we are following our physical desires rather than His WILL

Road signs:
Motion
We say something lives when there is motion created from within the form.
A rock falling down a hill is in motion because of outer forces such as gravity,
or atmospheric conditions, as wind or rain, have caused the action.

A plant lives because it grows and changes its form due to an internal power.
We see an enormous leap forward in motion in the animal kingdom because animals are entirely uprooted from the earth and thus enjoy greatly increased powers of motion, most of which, however, are dictated by their chemical structure. There can also be seen on occasion, motion caused by a sense of self in the animal that the plant does not possess. There is something that creates fear and desire to protect that sense of self, or there is something the animal feels desire to have. Humanity, possessing conscious use of the mind, takes freedom of motion to a whole new level. Sometimes even free of the chemistry of earth. Today mankind can even leave the planet itself. We find another leap forward in the forms ability to be aware of themselves.

Self-awareness
We do not think of plants as having any sense of self at all, but we cannot deny the presence of something in the plant that wants to live. If this were not the case the roots would not seek nourishment and water below the surface, nor would the foliage reach upward towards the sun for energy. The animal is very conscious of itself and wants to preserve that self. It is far from being able to think of itself, however, its awareness is based on feeling. Humanity can say I am.

Sound production
How interesting is the development and appearance of sound on the planet when given some thought. Once Earth had an atmosphere, we have sounds produce by water, rain, wind, gravity etc. Very limited sound production. Sound is somewhat increased with the appearance of the vegetable kingdom. Now wind can cause rustling of branches and branches breaking under winds forces. Fire can now burn and crackle in interaction with the vegetable kingdom. In animals we find the first sound producing forms in that they can produce sound of their own volition. They do not need outer forces to cause them to create sound, to ‘speak’.

Humanity can transfer vast amounts of information through the self-willed volition to produce the necessary intelligent carrying sounds.

Mankind can also express feelings, emotional states with this ability to create self-willed and conscious sound.

WHAT IS NEXT?
You and I are meant to see the Plan and fulfill very specific roles in the building. Our work on the Plan is our Purpose, and the more we are in harmony with this role, the more we are moving and acting in harmony with the Word that created us. Clearly the more in harmony with this Word we are, the happier and more fulfilled we feel as individuals. The farther away our motion is from this Word, the more unhappy we feel. Meditation is our opportunity to find our path and develop our abilities to follow God’s will.

On this site new meditations will be posted regularly on vital subjects for Spiritual development. The first subject is Your Eternal Worth. Spiritual leaders with good authority tell us that we have descended to earth from the higher heavens and that before the soul descends to earth it ascends to Heaven to be blessed with celestial light and eternal glory of the Presence. We can enter the Presence in the hour of supreme surrender. We need spiritual liberty from the physical personal self if we are to touch the hemline of the Christ consciousness and begin our work to fulfill the prayer for His kingdom to come and HIS Will TO BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

Right now, we need Earth to sustain our consciousness, this makes our physical bodies precious to us and to the Life that animates our forms. If, however, we are to enjoy the gift of Christ, life eternal, we need to hear (this means feel) the Living Word that is the Will of the Creator in us and our own Eternal Name. We must seek to enter the consciousness of Devine Presence.
St. John called it The Word of God or the Christ.
